Our History
Traders Rest Farm has been in business since the 1960s as a breeding, boarding, training and race facility for Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses. The Stemmans family ran an extensive breeding program throughout the 1970s and ’80s. This business was started anew in 1998, with the first foals of this endeavor born in 1999.

To Traders Rest Farm from I-49
Exit Pont Des Mouton, turn west. Cross University Ave. and turn left at Brothers Rd. Right at stop sign. Turn left at T, then turn left onto farm.
To Traders Rest Farm from I-10
Exit Ambassador Caffery Parkway, turn north. At T, turn left (Hwy 723). Follow one curve, turn right at T. Follow three curves into farm.
